Authex: Flor d’Ametler – Tot Herba

The Benito family runs Authex, a laboratory of natural alternatives for health, hygiene and beauty that manufactures the Tot Herba line, leader in natural and sustainable cosmetics. These products are made with traditional recipes based on the properties of Mediterranean plants like lavender, rosemary, St. John’s wort, camomile and sage.

They also make perfumes, including the well-known Flor d’Ametler. The history of this perfume is linked to the island’s agricultural tradition and dates back to the 1940s, when the chemist, Bernat Vallori, created a perfume reminiscent of the one his grandmothers distilled at home. The almond blossoms are taken one by one from the branches and left to macerate for five years. Its key feature is a natural flower that is placed inside each bottle of perfume.

On the premises, they have a small shop where they offer Flor d’Ametler perfumes and Tot Herba products for personal care and hygiene. They focus on promoting products from our environment and Mediterranean culture. They look for popular traditional formulas and update them with scientific research, to adapt them to modern-day use.
