Ca na Gori

The history of Ca na Gori dates back to 1870, when Toni Martí, great-grandfather of the current owners, started the butcher’s business in the market that used to be in La Quartera. Years later, around the 1960s, he set up the business inside his house, as was then customary.

Since 1956, the butcher’s shop has been located in Carrer de la Concepció, one of the commercial hubs of the historic centre of Binissalem. The building’s stone façade, one of the features that characterise the town centre as an Asset of Cultural Interest, has been preserved.

Today Toni and Margalida Martí represent the fourth generation of the family and run the butcher’s business. They specialise in the sale of fresh meat as well as in the slaughter of pigs, to make typical Mallorcan sausages such as sobrasada, camaiot and botifarró. Also, at Christmas time they make the traditional Christmas fillings.
