Ca n’Estaca

The history of Ca n’Estaca begins in 1930, when Tomeu Bisbal and his wife, Margarita Orei, set up a food store in Colònia de Sant Pere. At that time it was the first shop of its kind in the area. Years later, the family business was inherited by his sons, Tomàs and Damià Bisbal, with his wife, Maria Planisi, who ran the establishment for a further 42 years.

After this generation, in 2007, the business began a new stage with Marvi Maria Bianciotti, when she rented Ca n’Estaca to start to bring it back to life. Together with her daughters, Aylen and Melisa, with the commitment to make it grow, she turned it into a supermarket. At first they called it Eurocop (Ifa), but they have ended up recovering the original name, as it is known throughout the village.

Nowadays it is a well-established establishment in Colònia de Sant Pere and frequented by its neighbours and visitors. Despite being a small supermarket, they always try to satisfy their customers in everything they ask for. As a curiosity, they are also known because several audiovisual projects have been filmed inside the supermarket.
