Cafés Ibiza

Cafés Ibiza was founded in 1958 after its founder, Vicente Tur, emigrated to Venezuela and learned about and delved into the world of coffee. Around the 1960s, the islands were experiencing a boom in the tourism sector, which favoured economic development and the possibility for companies to grow. Today Rosario Tur, his daughter, is in charge of the business.

When she returned to her homeland, with her savings she bought a small coffee roaster together with some partners. At that time they roasted the coffee in a cave in the Marina neighbourhood, where the seafarers lived. Throughout its history, the company has suffered various problems, such as a shortage of green coffee, among others.

From its beginnings until now, Cafés Ibiza has not stopped growing with new products and improvements in the production system. They serve the local people of Eivissa, but they have also made a name for themselves among international visitors.
