Calzados Beltrán

Calzados Beltrán’s main product is traditional esparto footwear, which is complemented by seasonal shoes and other typical Mallorcan esparto items, such as baskets.

Since 1925, three generations of the Beltrán family have run the establishment located on one side of Can Maneu (also known as the Triquet), a building designed by architect Gaspar Bennàzar at the request of industrialist Joan Oliver Florit (alias Maneu), and declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1990.

In 2021, the Benito Bonnín family took over from Calzados Beltrán.

On the façade, the ornamentation above the entrance reflects the secessionist architectural trend, which mixed industrial elements with the characteristic forms of modernism. The shop retains the original hydraulic tile flooring and the wooden shelves made by the previous owner, who was a professional carpenter before he took over the business on inheriting it from his mother.
