Can Binimelis

Gabriel Binimelis and his wife, Francisca Bonnín, founded Can Binimelis in 1966, a business dedicated to the sale of hardware products which is now run by their two children, Francisco and Francisca Binimelis.

The origins of Can Binimelis go back to one of the main streets of Porreres, where they opened the first shop on their wedding day. The business was run by her mother and all the hardware items of the time could be found there, while her father dedicated himself to repairing houses. Francisca Bonnín says that she remembers how simple the shop used to be, compared to what it is now.

It was around 1998 that the establishment moved to its current location in order to provide a closer service to both individuals and professionals in the sector. The two siblings have enthusiastically followed in their parents’ footsteps, adapting the business to modern-day characteristics and demand. Today, their children are already part of the company, representing the third generation of Can Binimelis.

Nowadays it is a company that sells hardware products, electrical appliances and fittings in general. They have more than 40 employees and a shop/warehouse where they have 1500 m² of display space, where they offer a personalised service.
