Can Felip is a family business that opened its doors in 1969, when the married couple Miquel Coll and Catalina Niell opened a shop in Carrer Gran in Sineu. The establishment owes its name to the father of the first owner, called Felip. In the 1980s, the business was taken over by their daughter Catalina who, together with her husband, Rafel Bergas, added the butcher’s shop to the shop. It is worth mentioning that in 1994, in Sineu, there were heavy rains that flooded Carrer Gran and the shop was flooded, which caused great material losses.

Since 2021, the store has been run by siblings Maria and Toni Amengual, who, after working in the shop and slaughterhouse, decided to take over the business when Catalina retired. They are nephews and nieces of the previous owners and represent the third generation within the family link.

Can Felip has gone from being a small shop to a newer butcher and shop, renovated and with a wider variety of articles to offer the consumer. Nowadays they sell staple products, together with zero-kilometre meat. It should be noted that the pork is also home-grown. The star products are sobrassada, botifarró and camallot, all of which are handmade on the premises.
