Can Jaume Artesans

In 1927 Jaume Aguiló opened a shop dedicated to selling meat in Palma’s Plaça Major, where there was a market at that time. Before coming to Palma, he sold animals in Santanyí, and in fact, he was one of the largest meat traders in this town.

In 1951 they moved the butcher’s shop to the recently inaugurated Mercat de l’Olivar in Palma, where they established themselves and where they have remained to this day. The business is currently run by the fourth generation of the family, with Jaume Aguiló at the helm.

They specialise in the sale of quality, organic meat. They offer a product that combines the sale of locally sourced meat with the sale of sausages, ready-made dishes, dried and cooked vegetables, pickles, and other typical Mallorcan products, such as sobrassada.

It should be noted that at Can Jaume Artesans they have their own breeding, and the veal comes from animals reared in the wild in the Raiguer region. They carefully watch over their food, sowing and cultivating fodder and cereals.
