Forn Ca’n Nadal

Nadal Lladó set up his own bakery in 1980 after learning the trade from Pere Vadell at Forn de Can Pere. The premises where the bakery is located today was run by two other bakers from Campos until the current owner took over.

Since its opening, Forn de Ca’n Nadal has followed a totally artisan line; in fact, they have been accredited as an Artisan Company by the Government of the Balearic Islands and two master artisans, a baker, a confectioner, and an artisan baker work there. They make all kinds of Mallorcan products, as has always been done in Campos. From day one they have been working with a wood-fired oven, a quality that has been almost lost in the village, lighting the fire day after day for more than forty years.

They are members of the “Pa d’Aquí. Forn i Tradició” brand, which distinguishes the establishments with a bakery that make the several types of bread of the Balearic Islands. They are known for their handmade bread and pastries, as well as ensaimadas and traditional pastries.

Ca’n Nadal’s bread is neither white nor brown, kneaded with a sourdough that is more than 60 years old and baked in a wood-fired oven. In 2023 it won the Premi al Millor Pa Moreno, which is held annually in Campos. The ensaimadas are made with more than 18 hours of fermentation inside wooden crates and the puff pastry is made with one of the best butter from Normandy. You cannot forget the cream puffs with crunchy, caramelised puff pastry, or the traditional artisan pastries. They also offer roast suckling pigs with crispy golden skin and a variety of buffets, among others.

Nowadays, the second generation of the Lladó family has joined the bakery, where all the products are made as they have always been made, with enthusiasm, excitement, and a lot of love. The only thing they want to do is to offer the best possible product and, whenever possible, with local produce.
