The Can Pinet haberdashery opened its doors in Pòrtol in 1946, when Antònia Frontera displayed four bars of soap and two litre bottles of cologne that she used to sell in bulk in the street. She invested all these small profits in buying haberdashery items like stockings, socks, underwear and other household products like sheets, pillows, towels, tea towels and others.

So, the business gradually began to grow and a few years later she decided to include furniture, starting with four chairs.

Today, it is run by the third generation of the family, which continues the work of two generations and has expanded the business to include fashion, household products, lingerie, perfumery and furniture in general, such as mattresses, bedsteads, etc., as well as all types of curtains to make and hang.
