Ca’n Pistola

The Can Pistola bakery, one of the first in the municipality, is a family business founded in 1947 by Llorenç Ramón in Carrer es Morull. Years later, his son Miquel Ramón Oliver continued his father’s tradition and bought a plot of land to build a house and a new bakery. Thus, they moved to Carrer Guillem Santandreu, where they could have their home and business in the same building. Later they opened more shops, one in Carrer Joan Carles I in 1994 and another two years later in Avinguda del Cocó.

Miquel’s son did not continue with the bakery profession, which is why the third generation is in the hands of professionals from outside the Ramón family.

Manuel, the current owner of the bakery together with Antònia, his wife, has worked with Miquel since 2006. Manuel’s aunt had an oven on the Peninsula, where he used to help when he was a child during his summer holidays. So, in November 2017, when Miquel had to retire, Manuel and Antònia took over the business, keeping its name and continuing with the same legacy and enthusiasm that they had on their very first day.

They are members of the “Pa d’aquí, forn i tradició” brand, which distinguishes establishments with a bakery that make the different types of bread from the Balearic Islands. Their star product is undoubtedly the various varieties of cremadillos. They also sell cardinals and ensaimadas, among other confectionery products.
