Can Ramis
Joan Obrador Ramis founded Can Ramis in 1919 when he started making siphons, soft drinks, and ice in the same premises where the factory is today, in Carrer del Convent in Felanitx. As a reference, there are still newspapers from 1922 in which it is published that the activity was already being carried out in the same place where it is today.
Today, Pedro Obrador, the fourth generation of the family, runs the business. They have a selection of bottled wines, mainly from Mallorca, as well as bulk wines.
The building where the factory is located dates from the early 20th century. It is worth noting that the façade has graffiti painted on it, the work of Joan Aguiló, which covers its entire surface. The illustration is based on the photograph taken by the renowned Danish architect Jorn Utzon at Ca na Lis in Porto Petro, showing Miquel Obrador Ballester, the second generation of the family, with his nephew Joan Obrador Juan and Liz Utzon.
Inside there is a collection of old machinery for the production of siphons and soft drinks, as well as a collection of old siphons, in which all the factories in Mallorca from the beginning of the 20th century are represented.
