Carnisseria Can Puig

 

Four generations linked to the Beltrán family make up the history of Can Puig, a butcher’s shop opened in the 1940s in Rectoria street in Binissalem by Jaume Beltrán Serra, the great-grandfather of the current owner.

In 2000, Guillem Beltrán Moyà took over the butcher’s shop from his parents when they retired. He says that before, the village’s commercial activity was easier because there was not so much competition from supermarkets and large supermarkets. In those days the village had several butcher’s shops, but nowadays there are only two left.

Specialising in all types of meat, they make traditional Mallorcan sausages such as sobrasadas, butifarrones, etc.
