Carnisseria Margalida

More than 125 years ago, more specifically in 1890, Jaume Mir opened the doors of the butcher’s shop in Esporles, which is still in business today. At that time, they bought the meat from the village slaughterhouse, prepared it and then sold it. One of the elements that still remains from those years is a weighing scale.

Today, the butcher’s shop is run by Margalida Mestre and Toni Sabater, the fourth generation of the family, who continue their great-grandfather’s business and offer residents and visitors of Esporles select products, especially stuffing, sausages, raw cured sausage (sobrassada) and black pudding (botifarrons).
