Cristaleria MAC
The history of this shop began in April 1944 in Calle del Sol, under the name of Herburu Manufacturas Artísticas. Initially, they carried out engraving, silvering and decoration of glass and glass for commercial signs.
In 1953, the company changed its name to Manufacturas Artísticas y Comerciales, and began to work in the field of leaded stained glass and other products related to artistic glass. In addition, they also specialised in supplying glass to furniture and decoration shops.
In 2001 they changed their name to Cristaleria MAC, and at the same time they moved to Carrer Miquel Santandreu, where they continue their activity today. It is run by the master glassmaker Pedro García Riera, who represents the third generation of his family branch.
Nowadays, they continue with the task of restoring and making stained glass by hand with their own designs. They have carried out numerous works in both the private and public spheres, including the stained glass windows of the Casal Solleric, the triptych of the Hermitage of Portals Nous, the restoration of stained glass windows in the Royal Palace of the Almudaina, etc.
They also work with glass in the field of architecture and decoration. Some outstanding works include the refurbishment of the Mercat de l’Olivar, the display cases for the Museu del Calçat i la Pell in Inca, the Cabrera Museum, etc.
