Floristeria La Rosaleda

La Rosaleda is one of the best-known florists in Palma, where you can find a wide variety of flowers and ornamental plants. It is said that a foreign woman, whose name is unknown, started the business in Calle de Can Serra de Marina. From 1960 Pascual Valiente and Maria Galindo ran the shop. In 2000 they moved the florist’s shop to its current location in Carrer de Montcades. In 2005 they transferred the business to Magdalena Llabrés Martínez, a shop assistant who worked in the shop.

In 2013 Magdalena retired and then Pascual and Maria handed over the business to Mateo Noguera and his wife, Maria de Pilar Pol. Mateo was in charge of supplying flowers to the shop since its beginnings, as his family had been involved in the world of floristry since 1930: first his grandmother, in the Avingudes market, and then in 1945, with his mother in the Mercat de l’Olivar. Later, Mateo separated from his sisters to dedicate himself exclusively to flower production. It is worth mentioning that they were pioneers in the introduction of wreaths for the deceased in the city of Palma, which led him to be known as Mateo, Corona.

La Rosaleda is currently run by Maria de Pilar Pol and her daughter Paula Noguera, the fourth generation of this family linked to the floral sector. It is worth mentioning that they collaborate regularly with other emblematic shops such as the Alpargatería Concepción or the toy shop La Industrial, as well as their interest in having 0 km and local products.
