Forn Ca na Juanita

Ca na Juanita is an artisan bakery founded around 1910 and run by the third generation of the Pol family until their retirement, with no one else in the family to take over. In 2021, the couple Verónica Martínez and Juanjo Barea took over the management, thus maintaining the long history of this well-known bakery in the village, which is still located on the ground floor of a listed building in the Plaza de la Vila.

They continue to make the same products as always, using top-quality ingredients and traditional methods. Among the varieties of country bread, we find white bread, brown bread and wholemeal bread, as well as other types such as xeixa bread, corn bread, rye bread, etc. They also make pastries, including potato cakes and ensaimadas. As for traditional pastries, another of their specialities are empanadas (panades) with different fillings, with savoury or sweet pastry.

They are members of the ‘Pan de aquí, horno y tradición’ (Bread from here, oven and tradition) brand, which distinguishes establishments with bakeries that make the different types of bread of the Balearic Islands.
