Forn Cas Soper
Forn de Cas Soper is a family business in Binissalem that opened in 1959. The father of the current owners started very young, at the age of eighteen he was already delivering bread around the village by bicycle and a year later he started distributing soups in the markets of Palma. We can say that it is one of the few remaining bakeries in Mallorca that specialises only in making bread for making Mallorcan soups, a fundamental ingredient together with the vegetables in this typical dish of our land’s traditional cuisine.
The founder’s three children, Teresa, Joan and Rafel Sastre, have continued their father’s profession and all work in the family business. Teresa has been making soups since 1985. Five years later, in 1990, Joan started making white and brown bread. But it was not until 2018 that they incorporated the production of ensaimadas, which Rafel oversees.
They are part of the “Pa d’Aquí. Forn i Tradició” brand, which distinguishes the establishments with a bakery that make the different types of bread from the Balearic Islands.
