Imprenta Muro

This establishment is in the centre of Muro and has been offering a printing service to the residents of the town and the surrounding area for more than seven decades. In 1953 Bartomeu Campaner and his son Antoni Campaner founded the business, and today the third generation of the family continues to run Imprenta Muro.

The brothers Miquel and Antoni Campaner (junior) have followed in their grandfather’s footsteps, running ‘sa imprenta’ (the print shop) as it is known in the village. They print all kinds of work, from corporate stationery, posters, brochures, catalogues and calendars to menus for restaurants, as well as art books and editorial services. It is worth mentioning that they published the magazine Algebelí from its beginnings until 1994, when the second period ended.

La Imprenta Muro is a business that has survived the new commercial models, where tradition and experience with the techniques used since its beginnings guarantee success in innovation to take on the future. They work with the utmost care, choosing the most suitable paper for the job and controlling the quality of the printing to the maximum. In 2004, together with Guillem Frontera, they founded the publishing house Ensiola, based in the printing house, and which continues to publish year after year (www.ensiola.cat).

The premises are divided into two spaces, one for customer service and a larger one where the printing press itself is located. Stationery has been incorporated as a complement to the printing press for some time now, as the two are currently inseparable in their desire to serve. They have an extensive variety of office and school supplies, gift items, books, backpacks, wallets, paintings, diaries and educational toys. They also offer a photocopying and binding service.
