Joyería Bitla
The Bitla Jewellery Shop began its activity in Jaume II street, under the guidance of Antonio Miró, where it has been since its opening. It is dedicated to the creation and sale of jewellery and watches. The uniqueness of this business lies in the maintenance of the activity of the workshop, developing a very valuable craft activity. This jewellery workshop is located on the upper floor of the shop, which is accessed by a spiral staircase.
In 1961, the building was renovated to modernise the premises. A second refurbishment was carried out in 2017 due to a fire in the shop. Fortunately, they were able to preserve much of the furniture used in the workshop and also the tools used to create the pieces of jewellery.
The jewellery shop is currently run by Fernando Miró Serra after his father, José Miró Cortés, continued with the business developed by his relatives. He represents the third generation of the family to run the business.
