Mesquida Calzados y Complementos

Mesquida’s original premises, like many other establishments of the time, shared its space with the family home. Francisca Ezquerra’s mother, the current owner and third generation of the family, was born there, when the shop was dedicated exclusively to the sale of traditional espadrilles and leather products.

The business was opened in 1945 by Miquel Mesquida, Francisca’s godfather. In the 1970s, his daughter Miquela, who ran the shop along with her husband Joan Ezquerra, who acted as a representative and sold in the villages of Mallorca, continued with the business.

Over time, the business had to adapt to new demands and has expanded to include other products, such as travel items and all kinds of accessories, such as umbrellas, bags, belts, wallets, etc. Even so, the sale of typical Mallorcan products, such as leather goods, baskets and espadrilles, continues unchanged.
