Microceller Son Crespí

The Crespí family acquired possession of Son Crespí around 1528, and still continues to own it after eleven or twelve generations. Since then, at certain times in the 16th and 17th centuries, wine has been made on this estate.

The Son Crespí Microceller is the personal project of two wine enthusiasts who are passionate about their work: Pere Crespí, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, and Neus Beltran, a biologist. Both have extensive experience in winemaking and vine cultivation. They explain that the project arose from the idea of producing a quality wine with local varieties in order to claim their place in the wine sector and prove their worth. They see organic farming as the only way to take care of the land in order to preserve biodiversity and leave a fertile and rich soil as a legacy for future generations. In this sense, they comment that “organic farming is inconceivable without sustainability, that is why our production is ‘micro’ and we work with renewable energies”.

Located in the estate of Son Crespí de Passatemps, the Microceller Son Crespí also has a shop and offers guided tours and other experiences such as wine and gastronomic tastings. Despite the fact that the activity has only recently started, in 2009, Pere Crespí’s commitment to viticulture and quality products is firm and sincere.
