Pastisseria Sandra

Pastisseria Sandra or Pastisseria Garí, as it was once known, is a family business dedicated to the production of typical Menorcan pastries and sweets. They produce all kinds of sweets, cream sticks and banyes, among other confectionery products. For more than fifty years, they have been making miniatures for Christmas, selling chocolate monkeys at Easter and, in general, producing some of the most popular sweets among the people of Maó.

Álvaro Llopis Llopis began the business in 1956 in a different location from the current one. Years later, his daughter Margarita Llopis Quevedo, together with her husband Enrique Bagur Bosch, took over the family business in the current premises, located in Sant Jordi street. In 1973, the business was renamed Pastelería Sandra.

Nowadays, the successors of the company and former workers of the establishment, Juan Andrés Pons Olives and Francisco Pons Florit, run this shop with their wives, which has been serving the customers of Maó for more than six decades. They proudly continue the work of their predecessors, taking care to maintain the art of handmade sweets and pastries typical of Menorca.
