Sa Joieria

The history of this family saga of jewellers begins when in 1914 Jaume Fuster Aguiló learnt the jeweller’s trade in the workshops of the Aguiló Jewellers in La Costa d’en Brossa in Palma.

Around the 1950s, Jaume opened his first jeweller’s shop in Felanitx, called Joyería San Salvador, which years later moved to Calle Major. At that time his son Manuel was already helping him in the workshop and soon they also started going to markets in Campos, Porreres and Sant Llorenç.

In 1967 they opened the second establishment in Campos, in Antoni Vives street, the San Julián Jewellery Shop, where Jaume and his two sons, Manuel and Santiago, worked. In 1979 the two brothers went their separate ways and Manuel continued with the jewellers in Felanitx and Campos.

In 1982 Manuel’s son, Vicenç Fuster, starts working in Campos.

The jewellery shop in Felanitx closes when Manuel retires in 1992 and Vicenç, together with his wife Sebastiana Mas, moves the jewellery shop in Campos to Carrer Major, thus beginning a new phase under the name of Sa Joieria. Two years later they moved to larger premises in the same street.

Following the entrepreneurial spirit of the couple, in September 1996 they opened another jewellery shop in Santanyí and in December 2000 they inaugurated the current premises in Plaza de Campos street.

Nowadays, Vicenç and Sebastiana’s daughter, Maria Fuster Mas, who has combined her university studies in Business Administration and Management with jewellery design, runs the business with her father, being the fourth generation and giving continuity to a family of jewellers.
