Sa Teulera
Sa Teulera was founded around 1930 as a tile factory, hence its name (teulera meaning ‘tiler’). At the beginning, in order to survive, they also manufactured construction materials and, at certain times, even made jugs for the home. For this reason, in the beginning, the workshop was located in the outskirts of the town, close to areas with clay due to the convenience of being able to have the main raw material nearby. From the second generation onwards, they moved to Carrer Pou Nou, where they are still located to this day.
Francesc Comas Villalonga, the fourth generation of the family, is in charge of the business and dedicates himself to making Mallorcan ceramic pieces, especially decorative and gardening items. He works with an antique wheel lathe, his own hands and in an artisan fashion, thus maintaining the essence and tradition of the business. They have a Master Artisan’s Certificate accredited by the Consell de Mallorca.
Inside the establishment there is a sales area with a large display of their products, while at the back you can find the workshop where they are made.
