Tapicerias Carrió
This home furnishing business started out as an upholstery workshop set up by Juan Tomás Carrió in 1966.
He opened the premises as an upholstery shop specialising in making curtains and upholstery for chairs, sofas and whatever else was required. As a curiosity, it is worth mentioning that they upholstered the walls of many of the fashionable discos and premises in Can Picafort at that time. They also recall an anecdote about a time when a customer requested their services because he wanted to upholster the interior of a coach.
It was in 1980 when they decided to open the shop, where they offer a wide variety of items such as curtains, pillows, towels, lingerie and household linen. Today, Joana Tomàs Florit has taken over from her father and together with her husband, Toni Oliver Cloquell, they are in charge of the business.
Joana oversees the shop’s management and Toni is in charge of the upholstery, tailoring and assembly, which allows them to offer product customisation. As a result of the long experience gained from so many years of service, they always try to provide the best solutions for their customers.
