Teixits Pomar

Teixits Pomar has been selling men’s and women’s clothing and accessories for over a hundred years, thanks to the Pomar family. The shop is located in Carrer Major in Felanitx, a central, pedestrianised street.

The shop also sells fabrics on demand, as well as threads and all the necessary tools for customers to make their own garments. A few years ago, they used to make the typical alterations when you went to buy clothes and you needed to alter or shorten them. Even now, they still have the sewing machines.

Currently, the fourth generation of the family runs the business founded by Josep Pomar. It was later passed on to his son, Joan, and then to his grandson, Josep. His wife, Beni Galea, ran Teixits Pomar until her retirement.

In 2023, the business passed to his niece, Maribel Garcias, to make way for a new generation of the family. The treatment given to the customers is characterised by being very familiar and cordial.

Teixits Pomar is a shop that has hardly changed over time and still preserves the interior furnishings, such as the shelves and the wooden sales counter, from its early years. When you enter it seems as if time has not passed.
