Vins Ca’n Novell

Vins Ca’n Novell is a family winery that has been selling wine since 1932, located in the historic centre of the village. Inside, the winery’s tasting room has preserved the ceiling with the typical “vueltas de marès“, as well as some stone walls.

Andreu Villalonga is the fourth generation of the family to run the business. Over the years, they have maintained the tradition of selling wine in bulk in casks over two hundred years old, made of olive and holm oak wood. The locals fetch the wine in reusable glass demijohns, as they did in the old days. Most of the customers are regulars and usually take the same wine with them, which they can taste before buying it if they wish.

Also, since the eighties of the last century, they started bottling the wines. Today they offer three main lines: “È”, “És Vermadors” and “Vinya Novella” (white, rosé, and red), as well as sweet wines and vermouth.

Ca’n Novell is currently one of the few wineries in Mallorca that reuses glass bottles, thus confirming its commitment to the environment and sustainable economy.
