Ca na Mongeta

The history of Ca Na Mongeta began in 1946 when Maria Vidal Llull founded the business. It was the third haberdashery to be opened in the village, at a time when there was a high demand for clothing due to the large number of dressmakers working in Campos.

The haberdashery was characterised by the sale of household items such as sheets, towels and tea towels, as well as a variety of underwear, dressing gowns, pyjamas and nightdresses. As a curiosity, it is worth mentioning that over the years there have been significant changes, such as the fact that in the past they also sold toys and glassware.

Located in a building dating from 1890, it still preserves the Mallorcan shutters on its façade. In 1977 the haberdashery was extended with an extra roof when the grandfather died and the carpentry shop behind Ca Na Mongeta closed. Since then, it has remained intact.

Aina Fullana Vidal, daughter of the founder, is the one who has run the haberdashery for the longest time, since she has been at the helm for more than forty years. Today Pere Adrover Fullana, the third generation of the family, runs the business.
