Gelats Paco

In the 1930s, Francisco Aznar Cortés arrived from Valencia with his brother Joaquín and started selling ice cream on the streets. In 1949, he bought the premises on Carrer de Benet Pons i Fàbregues to set up the warehouse and ice cream factory, while continuing to sell ice cream on the street.

In 1980, when the patriarch of the Aznar family retired, his son, also called Francisco, took over and in 1985 he bought the premises at the rear to extend the factory and refurbish the entire space. The third generation of the family, Xavier Aznar Sastre, took over in 2006 and gave the shop a major makeover. Today, they have a second establishment in Calle de Blanquerna.

The value of the establishment lies in the fact that it is one of the oldest ice cream parlours in Palma and, without a doubt, the oldest and most emblematic in the Pere Garau neighbourhood. Another important aspect is that most of the products they sell are made in-house. Some of the products they sell include lollipops, chocolates and ice cream bars, as well as the typical trolleys they used to use to sell their products on the streets of Palma.
